Examination System (refer to circular no. UG/395 of 2004 date 07/09/2004)

SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

  1. The Scheme of Examination shall be divided in two parts.
    1. Internal Assessment:      40% i.e. 40 marks.
    2. Semester End Examination :      60% i.e. 60 marks.
    1. INTERNAL ASSESSMENT - 40 MARKS
      The allocation of 40 marks shall be as follows:
      1. Two best of Three periodical class tests held in the given Semester.- 20 Marks.
      2. A better of the Two Assignments – with presentation in Seminar etc. - 10 Marks.
      3. Active participation in routine class instructional deliveries – 5 Marks
      4. Over all conduct as a responsible students, mannerism articulation and exhibit leadership quality in organising related academic activities – 5 Marks
    2. SEMESTER END EXAMINATION -60 MARKS
      1. Duration – This examination shall be of 2 Hrs. duration,
      2. Question paper pattern –
        1. There shall be 04 questions of 15 Marks each
        2. All questions shall be compulsory with internal choice within the question.
        3. Questions may be sub divided in to a) and b) if necessary, for 8 & 7 marks respectively.

     

  2. A student must get 40% marks in aggregate i.e. 40% marks in Internal Assessment (i.e. 40% of 40 = 16) as well as 40% marks in Semester End Examination (i.e. 40% of 60 = 24) separately, in order to pass the examination.

  4. The responsibility of evaluation during the first 4 semesters will rest with the college. The college will carry out the internal evaluation for theory papers in Semester V, VI, while the university will conduct the semester end examination for these two semesters. The internal evaluation marks of students appearing for semester V and VI are sent to the University by the respective college bef0re the commencement of the respective semester-end examination.
